Fall Fitness Challenge

As the leaves turn colors and fall to the ground and the temperature begins to fall , its time to move inside for your workouts. What better way than to kick off the end of summer than with a cardio contest.

For the next 8 weeks, clients will pedal, jog, walk, elliptic, burpee, and tabata as they compete for honors as the top Kettle Bell in our studio. More cardio workouts, more exercise bonuses, more nutrition journaling- all leads to better health and champion of the Fall Fitness Challenge. Check back for more updates on who is leading the pack.

September Client of the Month - Wendy Cullen

For nearly two years now, Wendy has traveled across town to train with us. We all love working with her and are amazed at her strength, of course she's very modest and will deny her excellent fitness. She's gone through a tough time lately , with her father passing. So it's great to see her renewed focus on her health. During any given session with Wendy you may hear her say "I don't know if I can do that, but I'll sure try." Wendy always makes it happen. Go Wendy!

"After a very challenging first six months of 2009, I recommitted to my goal of getting in shape, and have been working out three times a week since mid-July. I have been an FT client in West Seattle since 2007, but my father's death in July spurred me to strive harder. The trainers are always so supportive and keep the workouts interesting. I'm starting to feel results, even if I can't SEE them yet."

New Morning Addition

Hiding behind that punching bag is our new special weapon - Dee. She has joined our training team and will be working with clients in the morning. Ask her about what it's like to fly like the wind?

Here is a little bit about Dee's background and training philosophy. "I received All-American honors for being third in the nation in the mile and fifth in the 1500 meters. While competing on an collegiate level I won two cross country championships as well as obtaining four university records.

Now my passion is to bring people the joy of reaching personal goals through fitness. Through my own endeavors, I have realized how powerful and important goals are when improving fitness. My target is helping others see their potential and get results through motivation, accountability, knowledge and experience. I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Sport Science and a CPR and AED certification from the American Red Cross."

Welcome to the team DEE!

Danskin Triathlon Finishes

Congratulations to Heidi B. and Antoinette D. for their participation in the Seattle Danskin Triathlon in late August. This race comprises 3 events: 1/2 mile swim, 13 mile bike ride, and a 3.1 mile run. Yes, one right after the other. This is an all female event with great energy and support. They both completed the event in fine fashion. We look forward to supporting them as they make a run at the event again in 2010. Way to go ladies!
